Ponsonby Montessori Kindergarten II (PMK II)

136 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland

Since the 1970’s there has been an early childhood education and care facilty at 136 Richmond Road. In 2022, as owners of the licensed Ponsonby Montessori Kindergarten early childhood education and care service centre operating at 244 Richmond Road, we were looking for opportunities to meet the increasing demand for enrolments. We heard that the licensed centre at 136 Richmond Road was closing down so we approached the owner of the property and negotiated a lease subject to obtaining a new licence from the Ministry of Education. Following extensive refurbishment and future proofing a licence was issued effective 31 January 2023.  We opened our doors to enrolled children on 20 February 2023.

Our aim is for PMK II to be a sister centre to PMK (244 Richmond Road) and to provide the same education and care that many whānau and tamariki have enjoyed and valued at PMK.
